Rodriguez describes his childhood and the bakers of Goa. What does he remember so fondly about those workers?

Dear Student,

The writer explains his childhood memories associated with the bakers of Goa. He says that the bakers used a typical jingling sound which used to come from the thud of his bamboo stick. The baker used this sound to attract the nearby children to buy the food items he carried in his basket. When the children would hear this sound, they would come running towards the baker and search for their favourite items in his basket. The writer himself, along with his friends also used to go running towards the baker and ate even without brushing or cleaning their mouth properly.
