Roots of some plant are seen growing through the walls and crevices.why?

This is due to the fact that plants need moisture and heat to process Photosynthesis.
Also, Roots grow bigger in size as they enlarge and they need Support and Stability and hence due to absence of space they might be seen climbing the walls and cervices.
