Saheb's life seems to be a tale of an endless struggle. Leaving the green fields of Bangladesh, Saheb had to live in the wilderness of Seemapuri, scrounging through garbage, hunting coins. For the children, garbage was gold. Later, his circumstances change but it seems like it changed for worse. Even though he works at a tea stall, he has to carry a heavy milk cannister which belongs to the tea shop owner. Saheb no longer is his own master. He has lost his carefree look. Life under the tea master is another struggle.
