salvia does anemophily or ornithophily??

Solution:

Salvia flowers are generally bisexual.
Anemophily is a type of pollination in which the pollens are carried by the wind. Here wind acts as pollinating agent. Most of the gymnosperms, grasses, oak etc. are anemophilous plants. The staminal lever mechanism in salvia is an adaptation for pollination. During pollination, the lever helps the stamens to deposit the pollen on the stigma of the flower and after pollination the lever returns the stamen to its original position.
Pollination is mediated mainly by birds and bees. Pollination by birds is known as ornithophily whereas pollination by insects is known as entomophily.
