The Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act,2005 came into force from 9th September,2005.This Act was passed to remove the gender discriminatory provisions mentioned in the previous act of 1956.It allows daughter of the death person equal rights with sons.In a case,where two people equally inherit the property,the daughter and the son are subject to same liabilities and disabilities.It promotes equal rights to males and females in the legal system.

Patwari is a term used for a land record clerk in India in a tehsil or a sub-division.Their work is to visit agricultural lands and maintain record of ownership and tilling.

The Hindu Succession Act, 1956, is a law that was passed by theparliament of Indiain 1956 to amend and codify the law relating to intestate or unwilled succession, amongHindus. The Act lays down a uniform and comprehensive system of inheritance and applies to persons governed by both theMitākṣarāandDāyabhāgaschools. It is hailed for its consolidation of Hindu laws on succession into one Act. The Hindu woman's limited estate is abolished by the Act. Any property possessed by a Hindu female is to be held by her absolute property and she is given full power to deal with it and dispose it of by will as she likes. The Act was amended in 2005 by the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005.
