Simple defination of statistics in pural sens and in singular sens

Dear student,

In singular sense statistics refers to the statistical methods. It relates to the collection, classification, organisation, presentation, analysis and interpretation of data. 

Statistics in plural sense refers to the numerical data. It is the aggregate of numerical facts collected in a systematised manner for a predetermined purpose.
