sir,what is TUNGSTEN ELECTRODES which is present in the bulbs?what is its function?

Tungsten electrode in side the bulb works as a resistor through which electric current passes and gets heated and glows brighter and gives light .
It function is to glow brighter when electric current is passed through it and gives us the light .
