Small Scale Industries are not ready for global competition. Do you agree?

Dear student,
Small scale industries in India are primarily labour intensive. They manufacture such products as handloom, handicrafts, leather, etc. that require locally available resources.  Their operations are confined to the local area only.
It can be said that the small scale industries in India are not yet ready for global competition. They face a number of problems. The productivity in these industries is very low because of the use of obsolete technology. Moreover, the quality of products produced by these industries is not at par with the quality standards of foreign companies. They also face competition from foreign companies in terms of price.
The problems faced by these industries must be addressed for them to be ready to face global competition.
