5.27 A first order gas-phase reaction has an energy of activation of 240 kJ mol-l. If the frequenc factor of the reaction is calculate 1.6 x 1013 s-1, Calculate its rate constant at 600 K. (2.056 x 10-8  s-1 )

According to Arrhenius equation: logK = log A -  Ea2.303RT
On putting the values inthe above equation  log K = log (1.6×1013)  -  240×1032.303×8.314×600
                                                                      log K  =  13.2041  -    20.89 =  - 7.6859 
                                                          then K = 2.056 ×10-8 s-1
