Dear student
Number of electrons emitted per second from thr cathode depends on the intensity of the incident radiation on the cathode 
So with increase in the work function the maximum kinetic energy of electrons coming out is decreased but the number of electrons  emitted per second by the cathode that reaches the anode per second remains the same so current does not change
