- ( 3x - 1 ) / 3 - 2 ( x - 8 ) / 5 = ( x + 8 ) / 5 - 3

$\frac{- (3 x - 1)}{3} - \frac{2 (x - 8)}{5} = \frac{x + 8}{5} - 3 \Rightarrow \frac{- 5 (3 x - 1) - 2 \times 3 (x - 8)}{15} = \frac{x + 8 - 3 \times 5}{5} \Rightarrow \frac{- 15 x + 5 - 6 (x - 8)}{3 \times 5} = \frac{x + 8 - 15}{5} \Rightarrow \frac{- 15 x + 5 - 6 x + 48}{3} = x - 7 \Rightarrow - 21 x + 53 = 3 (x - 7) = 3 x - 21 \Rightarrow 21 x + 3 x = 53 + 21 \Rightarrow 24 x = 74 \Rightarrow x = \frac{74}{24} = \frac{37}{12}$
