To check 5640 soldiers can be arrange in such a way as number of rows equal to number of columns we find value of

\sqrt{5640}

by long division method ,As :

So,

\sqrt{5640}

= 75 and Remainder = 15 , Then

Commander can't complete his arrangement by using all the soldiers .

And to achieve number of rows equal to number of columns Commander arranged total soldiers in a row = 75 and total soldiers left out = 15 ( Ans )
