Graphical Representation of 2x + 3y = 6 :-

If x = 0, 2(0) + 3y = 6                                                If y = 0, 2x + 3 (0) = 6
                 0 + 3y = 6                                                              2x + 0 = 6
                         y = 6/3                                                           x = 6/2
                          y = 2                                                             x = 3
Therefore, (x,y) = (0,2)                                               Therefore, (x,y) = (3,0)

Graphical Representation of 4x + 6y = 24 :-

If x = 0, 4 (0) + 6y = 24                                               If y = 0, 4x + 6 (0) = 24
             0 + 6y = 24                                                                   4x + 0 = 24
             y = 24/6                                                                         x = 24/4
            y = 4                                                                               x = 6
Therefore, (x,y) = (0,4)                                                 Therefore, (x,y) = (6,0)

Hope this helps. thumbs up please ;)

  2x+3y=6
4x+6y=24

y=6-2x/3
y=24-4x/6

substitue these values of y in the equation when x is 1,2,3 or any other number.
you will get the coordinates and then you can plot the graph
hope it helps.

parllel lines is drawn in graph

  • 2
Now plot the points

  • 3
Substitue random values for x and then solve for y. Repeat this for 3 points and join the points. You will have your graph complete

Answer is 0 but it is a parallel equation
  • 1
2x+3y=6
  • 1
First solve the equation 2x+3y=6,by letting the x as an independent and y as a dependent.(when the value of x is 3 then the value of y is 0,when the value of x is 6 then the value of y is -2,when the value of x is 9 then the value of y is -4)
Now,
Solve the equation 4x+6y=24,by letting x as an independent and y as a dependent.(when x is 3 then y is 2,when x is 6 then the value of y is 0,when the value of x is 9 then the value of y is -2)

Plot these all the points---
(3,0),(6,-2),(9,-4) and (3,2),(6,0),(9,-2).

After plotting these points we found that the line which is passes through the points (3,0),(6,-2),(9,-4) is parallel to the line which is passes through the points (3,2),(6,0),(9,-2).

So there is no solution for these two equations.

For eq 2x+3y=6
Put x=0
2(0)+3y=6
3y=6
y=2
Therefore coordinates are (0,2)
Put y=0
2x+3(0)=6
2x=6
x=3
Therefore cordinates are (3,0)

Similarly for eq 4x+6y=24
Put x=0
4(0)+6y=24
6y =24
y=4
Therefore coordinates are (0,4)
Put y=0
4x+6(0)=24
4x=24
x=6
Therefore coordinates are (6,0)

2x+3y=6-----------(1)
4x+6y=24----------(2)
We can write equation (1)as,
y=6-2x/3 -------------(3)
We can write equation 2 as,
y=24-4x/6 ------------(4)
Now write tables for the equations (3) and(4).
