hat to cover himself up The shop owner had acute hearing and almost
caught him on many occasions Griffin waited for the owner to go to
bed before looking for clothes In his excitement, he did not
realise that he was making a lot of noise The owner knew there was
an intruder but could see nobody he locked all the doors and
pocketed the keys Griffin had to strike him on the head, gag and
tie him Then, he wore the clothes and left the house
