Dear student,

As the extract for the first set of questions is not given, it is not possible to answer the first part b).
c) Antonym of 'wonderful' is 'awful'.

a) The poet regrets throwing a log at the snake.
b) The poet succumbed to his voice of education and threw a log at the snake. Education has taught him that snakes are harmful creatures and one must protect oneself against them. But, the snake who visited him that day was rather harmless, still he threw a log at it! He later regretted his decision and realised that it was a very paltry and mean act.
c) 'Despised' means 'hated' or 'loathed'.
