solve this question please Calculate the mean deviation from median for the following: Marks 0-20 Nov of students 10 20-40 40„60 6000 16 30 32 80,100 12

Dear Student
Marks Frequency Mid Value cf |dm| = |X-Median| f|dm|
0-20 10 10 10 20 200
20-40 16 30 26 14 224
40-60 30 50 56 0 0
60-80 32 70 88 2 64
80-100 12 90 100 18 216
  100     54 704

Median =  Size of (N/2) th term
Median = Size of (100/2)th term
Median = 50th term

50th item lies in the 56th cumulative frequency of the series. So 40-60 will be the median class interval.
Hence median value of the series is -
M = l1 + N2+c.f.fX iM = 40 + 50+2630X 20M = 40 + 50.67M = 90.67

Thus , mean deviation from Median
MDm  = |fdm|fMDm  = 704100MDm  = 7.04
