Solve with correct explian 'Ihe cost of 3 dozen pencils is 252. What is the cost of 2 scores of it?

Given : 3 dozen pencils cost Rs 252

we know 1 dozen  =12 , So

i.e (3 dozen=3x12)36  pencils cost is Rs. 252
So, cost of 1 pencil=252/36=Rs 7
1 Score  =  20
So,
Cost of 2 score(=2x20=40) of pencils =  40 $\times$ 7 = Rs 280                                                                 ( Ans )
