speech for asl on art of asthetics
Aesthetics is a branch of philosophy that deals with the appreciation of beauty, and naturally has overwhelmingly to do with the creation and criticism of art. Aesthetics form a part of theories about literature, film and music. According to philosopher Dennis Dutton, there are six universal elements in aesthetics: expertise, enjoyment of art for art's sake, style, criticism, imitation and special focus. Needless to say, aesthetic parameters transform over time and are radically different in different cultures - depending on the political and social milieu.
