speech on gender discrimination

sorry anshika i sent the fist 2 answers by mistake this is the right one
For ages it was believed that the different characteristics, roles and status accorded to women and men in society are determined by sex, that they are natural and therefore not changeable. This thought although not that widely believed is still present in the minds of many Indians today
Gender inequality has adverse impact on development goals as reduces economic growth. It is common to find girls and women suffering from high mortality rates. There are vast differences in education level of two sexes.
The origin of the Indian idea of appropriate female behavior can be traced to the rules laid down by Manu in 200 B.C.: "by a young girl, by a young woman, or even by an aged one, nothing must be done independently, even in her own house". "In childhood a female must be subject to her father, in youth to her husband, when her lord is dead to her sons; a woman must never be independent."
Women's lives are shaped by customs that are centuries old. "May you be the mother of a hundred sons" is a common Hindu wedding blessing.
Statistics reveal that in India males significantly outnumber females arid this imbalance has increased over time. The sex ratio according to 2001 census report stands at 933 per 1000 males. Out of the total population, 120 million are women who live in abject poverty. The maternal mortality rate in rural areas is among the world's highest.
It is a paradox of our Indian society, that on one side we worship the women Goddesses and on the other we meet out sub-human treatment to the women. In Indian society the position of the women has been always looked as less important than the male person.
Before seeing a girl as a burden we must think she’s a future mother where will we be without females. We must see a loving mother, sister, daughter, friend who is capable of following anything in her life and is equal to or better than any male. We must prevent females from   being illtreated.
In conclusion, gender discrimination is a world wide problem and if we remove the issue from out country, we would be doing our world a great service if we all see a women as equal to a man and we oppose gender discrimination no gender discrimination can be done against a female
