State any two consequences if there was no planning ?

Following are the consequences of absence of planning in an organisation.

i) Directionless operations : Planning clearly states the goals and objectives to be achieved. In the absence of planning, organisation would operate in a directionless manner.

ii) Risk : By guiding an organisation in the right direction to follow, planning accredits its managers to analyse and anticipate changes to reduce uncertainties. Without planning, such uncertainties cannot be foreseen and nullified.

iii) Overlapping : The managers coordinate the different activities together to reach the objectives through plans, thereby, help in reducing overlapping of work. In the absence of planning, the work will overlap leading to wastage of resources.
