State Lenz law. Does it violate the principle of conservation of energy. Justify your answer

Dear student,

Lenz’s law states that the induced current produced in a circuit always flows in such a way that it opposes the change or the cause that produces it.
The Lenz’s law is a convenient method to find the direction of induced current produced in a circuit. It is related to the principle of conservation of energy.

Let us understand this further by means of an experiment.
If a bar magnet facing N-pole move towards a coil S, then the induced current produced in the coil S should oppose the motion of bar magnet. It will happen so that the induced current produces  magnetic field lines from left to right i.e., the induced current flows in clockwise direction, when seen from left.

Lenz law does not violates the universal law of conservation of energy.
Regards
I hope now you have a better understanding of the Lenz’s law.
