1. Displacement current arises due to the change in electric flux through an area. If the change stops displacement current becomes zero.
2. Greater the dielectric strength of a material, higher is the displacement current through it.
3. Motion of free charge carriers are not involved in producing displacement.
4. The current through a capacitor while charging and discharging is the displacement current.
5. Displacement current also induces magnetic field just as conduction current.
