Strictness is also a virtue which pays enormously in the long run. Do you agree? Justify with reference to the lesson the browing version

Dear Student.

Taplow liked Crocker-Harris in-spite of him being a strict teacher. According to Taplow, the man wasn't a critter but he was quite frightening due to the fact that he was very stoic and dry. What he liked within Crocker Harris was his punctuality and his principles which had become an inspiration for Taplow to do extra work. His strictness actually made Taplow strive towards better results and achievements. Crocker Harris preferred to be hated rather than being liked and that is what surprised Taplow. Taplow himself mentions that he admired Mr. Crocker Harris for his sadistic attitude and the trait of not being liked by students due to his own strictness. Taplow is unable to freely express this feeling in front of Mr. Frank, yet he feels Mr. Crocker had some feelings within him. Also Mr. Crocker Harris was flexible regarding extra work and therefore Taplow is there for it just before the last day since he had missed a class.  All this makes Taplow believe that he wasn't a strict teacher. So, strictness pays well in the long run.
