Stuntman plans to run along a rooftop and then horizontally of it to land on the roof of next building the roof of next planning is 4.9 below the first one and 6.2 M away from it what should be the minimum rooftop speed in metre per second so he can successfully make the jump

If gravity is 9.8m/s^2, then it would be take the stuntman 1 second to drop 4.9m if we use the general distance equation s = v0t + .5at^2. That means the stuntman would have that same second to travel horizontally 6.2 meters so his smallest velocity would have to be 6.2 m/s.
