4. How did the people at the inn become suspcious of the scientist .
Dear student,
Griffin came to Iping to carry on with his science experiments. Griffin's behaviour and appearance was rather strange and people of Iping suspected him to be a dubious character. He stole money from the clergyman's house and took advantage of his invisibility to terrorise people. Mr and Mrs Hall were attacked by him when they went snooping in his room: he threw pieces of furniture at them. People were terrified when he finally removed his clothes to reveal that he was invisible!
