No you dont need reference book in class 11....... just use the books of Sandeep Garg instead of the Ncert text books....

Reference books are not mandatory to be used. If u want to learn more than in exam point of view then u can use Sandeep Garg's. But u must not ignore ncert text book. it is the main study material u should use friend

You can try Arihant. It is very well made as it has a summary of the chapter with many explanations, and they have solved sums as well as a good amount of chapter tests.
