Zitkala Sa was a native American who was forcibly sent to a Christian school.She resisted the strict regimentation of the school.She was forced to cut her hair but she hated it because in her culture short hair was worn by mourners.When her friend Judewin told that they would have to give in she disagreed and decided to fight.
Bama on the other hand belonged to a marginalised community and was faced with the discriminatory treatment meted out to the members of her community.She was infuriated at his inhuman practise of casteism .Both of them tried to shed light on the atrocities committed by the oppressors on the hitherto marginalised communities.
