Suppose you are given three resistances of values 2,4,6 ohms. Which of the following value is not possible to get by arranging resistances in various combinations =>>>>
(a) Less than 2 ohms
(b) Equal to 4.4 ohms
(c) Equal to 7.33 ohms
(d) Equal to 6.75 ohms

Dear Student

Three 2,4,6  ohm resistance can be connected either in series or in parallel or and parallel.

If they are connected in series then Rnet = 2+4+6 = 12 ohm
If they are connected in parallel then 1/Rnet = 1/2+1/4+1/6 = 3/4 ohm
Rnet =1.09 ohm
If two are connected in series (2 and 4 )and combination is connected in parallel with other  then 1/Rnet = 1/6+1/6
Rnet =3 ohm
If two are connected in series ( 2 and 6 ohm) and combination is connected in parallel with other  then 1/Rnet = 1/8+1/4
Rnet =2.66 ohm
If two are connected in series (4 and 6 )and combination is connected in parallel with other  then 1/Rnet = 1/10+1/2
Rnet =1.66 ohm

If two are connected in parallel (2 and 4) and combination is connected in series with other  then Rnet = 1.33+6= 7.33ohm

If two are connected in parallel (2 and 6) and combination is connected in series with other  then Rnet = 1.5+4=5.5 ohm
If two are connected in parallel (6 and 4) and combination is connected in series with other  then Rnet = 2.4+2= 4.4 ohm

So option D is right.
