When we are blowing air in the test tube, we are blowing CO2
(Carbondioxide), the carbondioxide reacts with the water (H2O) in
the test tube and forms Carbonic Acid (H2CO3), which is acidic in
nature and hence the change in colour from blue to red Since acids
turn blue litmus to red
