teacher, plz explain the difference betweeen plasmolysed cell and a flaccid cell.

plz explain in basic simple ways with examples. the definitions given in the book are hard to understand

When a cell completely filled with water (turgid) is placed in a hypertonic solution (with more solute than solvent), the cytoplasm of the cell with start releasing water and shrink due to osmosis. This process is called plasmolysis and the cell is called plasmolysed cell.

When the turgid cell start releasing water a stage comes where the water content inside the cell and outside is more or less equal or isotonic. In this stage the cell is called flaccid cell. The flaccid cell releases more and more water to become plasmolysed cell. Flaccidity is the state of cell between turgidity and plasmolysis.
