Tell a debate on facebook

if you havent heard of Facebook then you probably live under a rock in the middle of the desert, and you definitely dont have WIFI. Chances are, however, that you have heard of it. Moreover youre likely to have an opinion on this powerful application driving through our cyber waves. Whether you are an active Facebooker, a frustrated employer watching your employees time trickle away, or a brand keen to infiltrate a new market, you are likely to have something to say and something to learn about Facebook, and nows your chance as BIMA takes the conversation offline in the Great Facebook Debate. In this debate we aim to explore and challenge the various ideas currently being touted in blogs and mainstream media, as well as bring you an insight into the plethora of Facebook stories: brands who have worked within the Facebook walls effectively and those who have not. Some of the views expressed so far include: It's like AOL with a 'walled garden' It's a black whole because it's easy to import information from other sources, but I'm unable to get my information out It flies in the face of open standards It reduces employee's productivity It's the next Google with lots of trusted people recommending content that's approproate for me It helps me to communicate with people more easily It encourages me to communicate more often, helping me to build stronger relationships with people and organisations It helps me to raise awareness for my products, services, events or brand This event, like Facebook itself, is going to be very popular, very cheap, very entertaining and a fantastic networking opportunity. A panel of experts will kick off proceedings but, largely, well be encouraging interaction and debate. Its a cheap day you cant afford to miss so click for your place now
