Dear Student

Your question is not clear providing best possible answer.

Convex mirror forms virtual and erect image.

Concave mirror forms real and inverted image. But when the object is between F and P, image is virtual and erect.

Convex mirror

  • The shiny surface of a convex mirror is curved outward
  • This mirror tends to diverge the reflected light rays from its surface
  • Some examples of convex mirror are: the outer side of a stainless steel spoon, the outer surface of a steel bowl, the side and rear view mirror in vehicles, etc.

Concave mirror

The shiny surface of a concave mirror is curved inward

  • These mirrors tend to concentrate the reflected light rays on their surface
  • Some examples of concave mirror are: the inner surface of a stainless steel spoon, the inner surface of a steel bowl, a dentist’s mirror, the reflectors of torches and the headlights of vehicles, etc.

Take a steel spoon and see all these properties on its surface. This will help you to learn them by heart. And also whenever you see any mirror and the image you see in it appears funny to you. Then do check its surface by touching it. and relate your observation with these properties. It will also help you to learn things in more interesting and easiest way.
