Tell me everything about polymerase chain reaction !!!

Dear student. Some important points about polymerase chain reaction are :- 1)). Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a way to make many copies of a sequence of DNA (this is sometimes called 'amplifying' the DNA). It is done in a lab, using an enzyme called DNA polymerase. It is called chain reaction because the result of one cycle is used immediately for the next cycle. 2)).PCR is very precise and can be used to amplify, or copy, a specific DNA target from a mixture of DNA molecules. 3)) PCR is shorthand for a simple but very useful procedure in molecular biology called the polymerase chain reaction.
