Tell the defination of Unitary Method.
Dear student,
The unitary method is a method to find the value of a single unit from a given multiple. Once we have found the value of a single unit, then we can calculate the value of the required iunits by multiplying the single value unit.
For example,
A bus runs 150km on 15 litres of fuel, how many kilometres will it run on 10 litres of fuel?
Kilometre = Unknown
No.of litres = Known
15 litres = 150km
1 litre = km
= 10 km
10 litres = 10 10
= 100 km
The bus will run 100 km on 10 litres of fuel.
