the annual rainfall at a place is 43cm. find the weight in metric tonnes of the annual rainfall there on a hectare of land , taking thee weight of 1meter cube water to be i metric tonne

Given, annual rainfall at a place = 43 cm

Now, volume of water falling on 1 hectare (or 10000 m2) = height or level of water × base area

We know that

Weight of an object = volume × density

⇒ Weight of an object = 4300 × 1  [Given density = 1m3/1 metric tonne = 1]

⇒ Weight of an object = 4300 metric tonnes
