Today the society is what it is due to the rich culture of our past. The values, traditions, heritage and practices of the past are very important and they make today's society successful. Just like trees and plants get nourishment from their roots, we get nourishment from our past. Learning from the by gone days makes us perfect in our life and thus survival becomes enjoyable. History of our past culture helps us in understanding various things and hence we should cherish our past culture.
