the blood group group of students from class IX are collected and recorded as below :

blood group :              A    B     AB     O
number of students : 12    9        7       6

if a student is chosen at random ,find the probability that he or she is a universal donar (O blood group)

Dear Student,

Probability of occuring of event = No.of times the event occured/total no. of outcomes
No.of times the event occured = 6
Total no. of outcomes = 34
p (getting 0 blood group)=6/34=3/17

probability of occuring of event=no.of outcomes in which the event occur/total no. of possible outcomes
no.of times the event occured=6
total no. of outcomes=36
p(of getting O blood group)=6/36=1/6
