in literature, the ghost genre reflects the haunting stories which fears the readers. it's motive is to deliver a chill down the spine of the readers.

the canterville ghost also belongs to horror genre. but its unique. as though the author delivers various signs, like changing of weather, blood stain, ghost's appearance to fear the readers but later on virginia takes the center stage leaving ghost behind who helps ghost to enter the garden of deaths by opening it's portal for the ghost by her love. the ghost story suddenly in middle out of nowhere turns into a love story and this transformation is depicted so smoothly that one can't even imagine what's going on.
