the cloth required to make a shirt of school uniform for each point is 180 cm how many shirt candela stitch using 40 min of cloth how much cloth will be left

Dear Student,

Please find the below required solution.

∵ Total length of available cloth = 40 m = 4000 cm (1 m = 100 cm)
∵ Length of cloth required to stitch a shirt = 1m 80cm =  200 + 15 = 215 cm
∴ The number of shirts that can be stitched from the 40-metre cloth = 4,000/180 = 22.22 shirts approx.
As the number of shirts has to be a whole number, we consider the whole part only. That is, 22 such shirts can be stitched.

∴ Cloth required for stitching 22 shirts = 22 × 180 = 3960 cm
∴ Remaining cloth = 4,000 − 3960 = 130 cm = 40 cm
