The cost of laying grass in a park at Rs 5 per square m is 2400. F ind the cost of making its boundary at Rs. 2.25 per m if it is 15 m wide.

Total cost = Rs 2400
Area × cost = 2400
area = 2400/5 = 480m² 
Assuming the park as rectangle 
Area = l×b
480= l×15
l = 32 m
Perimeter = 2(l+b)
         =2(32+15) 
      =94 m

Cost of making boundary  = perimeter × cost 
   = 94×2.25
   = Rs 211.5
