the dielectric between the conductors reduces the electric intensity
Dear Student,
When a dielectric is introduced between two conductors having an electric field between them, the dielectric gets polarised due to which opposite charges gets induced on the dielectric surfaces facing the conductor plates. This induced field is opposite to the direction of the initial field and it increases to an extent till the net field between the plates reduces to zero. Hence, 1st option is the answer.
