The distance between successive crest and trough is 30cm. Find its wavelength. If the wave produces 10 crests and 10 troughs in 2 seconds find its frequency.

Wavelength = the distance between tow consecutive crests or two consecutive troughs. Here, the wavelength = 30 cm = 0.3 m

Frequency = no of oscillations. per second. One oscillation = one crest and one trough.......Thus, the wave produces 10 OSCILLATIONS. (Since 10 crests and 10 troughs)..........time period = 2 seconds

​Therefore,    Frequency = 10 * 2 = 20 Hz!
