The ghost scared the dowager duchess to death.what was her reaction?

The Dowager Duchess of Bolton was Lord Canterville's grandaunt. The ghost frightened her by placing two skeleton hands on her shoulders as she was getting dressed for dinner. ​This frightened her into a fit. Although she did not die because of the incident, she never really recovered from the shock of the incident.
