"The head and the arm project outwards at a regular distance and angle from each other at the surface of the polymerised myosin and are together called the  cross arm ."
kindly explain this i didn't get it?

it means a short arm is attached to the head of meromyosin and the head contains ATPase enzme and has binding site for ATP and active sit for actin

The myosin filament has a head with short arm(HMM) and a tail(LMM).during muscle contraction the head of the myosin filament is raised at an angle from the polymeric mero myosin.this is known as cross arm.
