 let BC be the tree and A be the point on BC from where the tree bends and touches point D on ground and make the angle of elevation of 60.

       in  triangle ABD

      sin60=AB/AD

      root3/2=AB/AD

     AD=2AB/root3  ---(1)

since  AD=AC

     therefore, AD+AB=10

     from(1)   2AB/root3+AB=10

                     2AB/root3+root3AB/root3=10    -----(LCM)

                     2AB+root3AB=root3 x 10

                    2AB+1.732AB=1.732 x 10

                   3.732AB=17.32

                        AB=17.32/3.732

                        AB=17320/3732

                        AB=4.64 m
