The image of a tooth seen by the dentist is erect, virtual or real inverted?

The mirror used by the dentist is a concave mirror which can produce real and inverted images as well as virtual and erect images. If the dentist holds the mirror very close to the teeth, the image formed will be virtual, erect and magnified. As he goes farther away the image will become real and inverted.
