4) What opinion do you form of Mrs.Hall as a hostess at her inn?

Dear Studenty,

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

1.In the first chapter the introduction of the stranger shows us that he was in a desperate condition for he wanted just a room and a fire and flung a couple of sovereigns upon the table. After he occupied the room he spoke as less as possible and only answered to Mrs Hall's questions in minimum words. Towards the end of chapter 1 we find him answering her abruptly. This shows that he preferred to keep matters related strictly to business and did not like getting too personal with Mrs Hall. He preferred to keep on his coat despite the fire burning briskly, melting the snow on his coat. He dressed oddly so that not an inch of his flesh could be seen. And later, he was seen holding the serviette over the lower part of his face. The behaviour of the stranger shows that he was odd and not quite friendly.
2.The stranger looked mysterious to Mrs Hall as the stranger dressed quite oddly. She could not see an inch of his face except his pink nose. Moreover, when she saw him holding the serviette over the lower part of his face she was sure that he was hiding the deformity of his face.
3.From the first chapter she find that Mrs Hall was a curious but friendly host to her guests. She offered the best service possible. However, she was particular about the maintenance of her property. She disliked how the snow melted from the stranger's coat fell on her carpet and how the snow from the stranger's boots threatened to rust her steel fender.
4.Mrs Hall was quite good as hostess and was quite happy to get a guest at Iping in the winter and gave her best service to keep her guest happy. She served the stranger his lunch and also took his clothes to get then dried. She was also sympathetic towards her guest thinking him to be a victim of an accident.
5. The stranger kept himself aloof. He spoke less and wanted to be left alone. He also kept Mrs Hall at bay.

1. after reading the first chapter we find that the stranger is an introvert character, mysterious with his appearance and attitude. we find he is patient and sweet when he wants his things done, but gets disappointed and irritated when it does not happen. he is totally non committal in his behaviour. his cold attitude, rude abruption in conversations, and snappish replies irritates mrs halls.
mrs hall is a very kind, business minded women, worthy as a hostess, pleasant during conversations
mrs hall is business minded women who is courteous and pleasant when money comes to her hand. she takes a lot of attempt to prove her worthiness to her customers. she scolds her maid in any delay of work which may prove her liniency. ahe tries to make people coming to her inn, comfortable.
he was a no haggler person to mrs hall, he remained in his room and asked for privacy. his strange appearance were mysterious for people at the inn. he was a no go with the conversation. he snapped mrs hall a lot of time during her conversations to know about him!!
I HOPE THIS IS RIGHT!!
