In the last lines of the chapter 'Bholi', when Bholi refused to marry the older man and told her parents that she will become a teacher, her teacher smiled at Bholi's words. She felt herself to be an artist whose hard work and dedication produced a masterpiece like Bholi.The teacher was satisfied that Bholi was applying her teachings in her real life to become an educated and independent person.
