The Legend of Northland.
Q6. Is this a true story? Which part of the poem do you think is the most important?

Dear student
Please find the answer.

The poem, 'A Legend of the Northland', as the name suggests, is a legend and not a true story. I like the part of the story which deals with the lady's greed and her punishment. It clearly gives us a lesson to be kind and generous to other human beings. We should not be selfish and be considerate about others.

No, this not a true story; it is a legend.

I feel that the point in the story where the old lady is changed into a woodpecker is the most important. This is because the punishment meted out to the lady teaches us the value of generosity and charity.
