The lenght ,breadth and height of a cuboidical water tank is 7m,6m, and 15m respectively.If 8400l of water is pumped out of the water tank,find the fall in the water level in the water tank.

The length ,breadth and height of a cuboidal water tank are 7 m, 6 m, and 15 m respectively.
So volume of water tank = 7m×6 m×15 m = 630 m3
Now volume of water pumped out of water tank = 8400 l = 84001000 = 8.4 m3
So volume of water left in water tank = 630 m3-8.4 m3 = 621.6 m3
Suppose the height of water level in tank after the water pumped out is h.
Then, volume of water left in water tank = 7×6×h = 42h
So we have;
42h = 621.6h = 621.642 = 14.8
so, present height of water tank is 14.8 m.
Therefore the fall in the water level in the water tank = 15 m - 14.8 m = 0.2 m
